Send Me A Friend is seeking Volunteers who are also in sobriety to help with Outreach at the following community events in New Orleans.
We are a national network of “sober friends” that are on call to come to a show and offer a helping hand and source of support for struggling musicians. Our mission is to support newly-sober musicians and music industry professionals who are on the road to a new way of life by helping get them back to work again.
Since launching last year, SMAF has developed a national network of over 1,500 volunteer “Friends” who are on-call to support musicians and staff at their gigs. We have already helped over 50 music industry professionals in early recovery.
SMAF recently formed a new partnership with Positive Vibrations Foundation, launched our Mobile APP with Sober Grid, and we are in the process of setting up our New Orleans headquarters at Imagine Recovery! We need local “Friends” to help spread the word about our program during community events.
